In The Name of Allah (SWT), The Most Gracious The Most Merciful.

BEST! My STC (Summer Training Camp which at first I thought it’s Summer Tarbiyyah Camp hehe) was BEST! It’s so fun, adventerous and physical and mental challenging. First camp, we did ice breaking and slept early around 11+pm because we needed energy for the next day. Well the next day, after having our morning exercises and breakfast, we’d a opening for STC. Our theme was to give more in our bonding in brothers/sisters, we lebihkan dorg dari sendiri(which is also known as itsar). Then we went to the jungle to take woods for our gadget. We’re given a task to build our own gadgets, anything that could be used. Our team combined effort with another group to build a triangle unique “ampaian” and my group also built a table that could be used as a place for pinggan, cawan and yg sewaktu dgnnya. After that we’d a talk even though it’s raining heavily. We’d to move from the middle of field to under the green trees. Imagine we’d to sit there, try very hard to listen to the speaker as the rain’s really heavy that we could barely hear on what he’s saying and jotting down important points delivered by him. Dengan hujan turun, sibuk-sibuk kan menulis and sibuk-sibuk kan prevent our books dari basah kana hujan. really challenging kan? :)

The third day, we’d another talk. This time we’re provided with a shelter and we did it under trees too. But then it’s still wet so some of sisters and me stood almost half of the talk. hehe to prevent from sleeping jua bah :) At night, we, the sisters play WAR GAME! It’s so fun! It’s my first time to play in the jungle in the middle of the night! Before that we’re split into two groups and we’re giving two tasks to get more weapons for the war game. For your info, we’re only given balloons as a weapon, so we’d to fill in water inside them. The other group got the extra weapons which were another packets of balloons and plain flour. The tasks were our gadgets was tested whether it’s relevant and use able and the other task was one of our member was tested on their hafazan. We’re given 14 selected verses from al-Quran to be hafaz. Neither both groups won but we did really have fun and the amazing thing was that we didn’t believe that we actually sanggup masuk dlm longkang utk sembunyi har har

At 9.15am, after kawat with brothers and singing our STC theme song, off we went to Slieve Donard Mountain, the highest mountain in Northern Ireland (849 m). According to our leader(mas’ul), the trekking should be around 7hrs but then hehe typical sisters kan, we did it for 11-12 hours for the journey. We performed jama’ dzuhur and asar before continuing our journey to the peak of the mountain. Praise to Allah (SWT) that at last we could make it to the top of the peak of the mountain. I admitted that I was about to give up while climbing the mountain but praise to Allah (SWT) for giving me strength and sisters that gave mental supports to me. “Da’wah bukan untuk orang yang manja” bersahutan dari atas hingga ke bawah untuk menaikkan lagi semangat kami.

At the peak of the mountain, we took a short nap and had a tazkirah (reminder or peringatan) within our groups. In our tazkirah, we did tadabbur surah Ali-Imran verses 190-194 (3:190-194). Quoting from 3:191,”Rabbana maqalakta haza bhatilla, Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! ” We did muhasabah ourselves as a human how ignorant we are, how stubborn we are.

As we’re so tired for the next day after trekking, we’re asked to buat karipap and roti canai! Believe or not? heehee benar~ Praise to Allah (SWT), now i know how to make them =D Then after that we’ve another talk on BM, how they really stressed the important of BM. After that, we’d muhibah nights, where each groups had to perform for everyone. Sisters from Galway performed special songs for two sisters that were going to be back home for good. sedihnya~ baru nak kenal dengan sister tu =( but then this phrase always stick in my head,”kalau org lain, tentu mereka sedihkan, dorg tak tahu bila lagi boleh jumpa, tapi kalau kita, kita tahu kita disatukan dengan ikatan aqidah dan kita tahu inshaAllah kita boleh jumpa kat mana-mana program” true, very true indeed, so inshaAllah if panjang umur, murah rezeki I could meet them again. I couldn’t imagine if next year I’m gonna leave them……..=(

The lasy day, I wasn’t feel so good. I’d a headache and my body temperature was higher than usual. I didn’t join them for the summer plan. We’d bbq before everyone went back home. Maybe my writing doesn’t sound so much fun but I had a great summer camp there =)

I end with a theme song written by our mas’ul.

“Mari kita berSTC,

ayuh semua, kuatkan fizikal rohani diri kita,

bersabar menempuh segala dugaan,

bersama memupuk ukhuwah keislaman.

Liatlah keindahana alam ciptaan Tuhan,

Gunung-ganang tersegah indah yg ditegakkan,

Air sungai mengalir tidak hentinya,

Padang rumput saujana pandangan mata.

Trekking dan absailing, canoing orientary,

semua diikuti, pengalaman didapati,

membina kekentalan, membangun kegemilangan,

ikhlaskanlah hati agar kita diredhai……”

p/s: Praise to Allah (SWT) for allowing me to be in my home sweet home, mcm tak percaya pulak dah meletakkan kaki ke bumi tanah air sendiri. And praise to Allah (SWT) for making the surprises went well for some people =P
